In the heart of South Delhi lies the village of Hauz Khas and in this village lies a water tank, an Islamic seminary, a mosque, a tomb and pavilions built around an urbanized village with medieval history traced to the 13th century of Delhi Sultanate reign. Today an Upper Class residential-cum-commercial area, Hauz Khas was once a major part of Delhi Sultanate.
A special walk, with lots of storytelling and fun games in the Hauz Khas Village. The Hauz Khas which contains a beautiful mosque, Firoz Shah Tuglaq’s tomb and a few more remains of history was actually first occupied by Alauddin Khilji who excavated the water tank which gave the place its name, Hauz Khas. The walk takes you through these monuments and the narrow colourful, lively lanes of the village where you spend a lot of time listening to beautiful stories and taking part in activities.
